BNP Paribas Real Estate ranked no. 1 in Europe and no. 5 internationally*

Published On 25.06.2009

BNP Paribas Real Estate has been named number one real estate services agent in Europe and fifth globally, according to leading real estate magazine Property Week's annual league table, which is the benchmark ranking for the property sector.

This ranking thereby salutes the solid financial footing and unique business model of BNP Paribas Real Estate. The league tables are based on the turnover (fees and profits) of market players. These figures stood at €665million and €138million for BNP Paribas Real Estate on 31 December 2008.

It is also thanks to the single brand of BNP Paribas Real Estate, which is now the umbrella for the group's businesses in 14 countries and three continents, for the greater benefit of clients, who can thereby access the company's six business lines more easily with an improved connection to the services of the BNP Paribas group.

In 2008, BNP Paribas Real Estate was in fifth place, when Atisreal's activities were the only ones taken into account.

Philippe Zivkovic, Chairman of BNP Paribas Real Estate, commented: “The resilience of our figures in 2008, our ability to service every part of the real estate lifecycle and our successful rebrand have propelled us beyond our main rivals, whose 2008 figures were badly affected by the economic backdrop”.
