Bertrand joined BNP Paribas in 1997 where he worked on the origination side of the Corporate Banking department specialising in Structured finance. In March 2000, he joined the Equity Syndicate team in Paris, before transferring to the London team in July of that year.
Commenting on these changes, Simon Piney said: "This is an important move designed to align better our primary equity resources. This alignment is all the more important in the light of the substantial investment programme recently announced in both our primary and secondary equity franchises."
