Marguerite Bérard-Andrieu joins the Group and will succeed Marie-Claire Capobianco from 2019
Marguerite Bérard-Andrieu, until recently Chief Executive Officer in charge of Finance, Strategy and Legal Affairs at the BPCE Group, is to join BNP Paribas on 15 January. After a year of integration into the Group, she will take over from Marie-Claire Capobianco as Head of French Retail Banking on 1 January 2019 and will join the BNP Paribas Executive Committee on that date.
From 1 January 2019, Marie-Claire Capobianco, who heads this key business for the Group, will take on new responsibilities as a member of the BNP Paribas Executive Committee.

Biographies
Marguerite Bérard-Andrieu (40) began her career at France’s Inspection Générale des Finances, working on special missions under the Head of Department. She was subsequently appointed Technical Advisor, and later Advisor, to the French President. At the end of 2010 she served as Chief of Staff in the office of the Minister of Labour, Employment and Health. In June 2012 Marguerite Bérard-Andrieu joined the General Management Committee of the BPCE Group as Deputy Chief Executive Officer in charge of Strategy, Legal Affairs, Compliance and the General Secretariat. In May 2016, she became Chief Executive Officer, responsible for Group Strategy, Finance and Legal affairs, and also serving as Board Secretary.
Marguerite Bérard-Andrieu graduated from the Paris Institute of Political Studies and earned a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Princeton University. Upon completion of her studies at ENA, the French National School of Administration, in April 2004, she was assigned to France’s Inspection Générale des Finances.
Marguerite Bérard-Andrieu sits on the Board of Directors of SCOR and Havas, and is a member of the Executive Board of the Institut Montaigne.
Marie-Claire Capobianco (60) is a Member of the BNP Paribas Group Executive Committee, serving since 2011 as Head of French Retail Banking.
Marie-Claire Capobianco joined the BNP Paribas Group in 1976, beginning her career in the Business Clients department in the Marseille region. She then spent four years working at the Bank’s lnspection Générale (Internal Audit department) as an Auditor and subsequently Lead Auditor, before moving to the Nantes Branch Group, where she took charge of the Individual & Self-Employed Professional Clients segment. She later served as Head of the Var Branch Group and Head of the Essonne Branch Group. In November 2002, Marie-Claire Capobianco became Head of Private Banking in France. From 2007, following the acquisition of BNL, she also oversaw the Private Banking business in Italy. In November 2008, when the Group formed the Retail Banking division, she was entrusted with the role of developing Private Banking in all countries where BNP Paribas has a domestic branch network.
Marie-Claire Capobianco also devotes time and energy to supporting a number of initiatives to promote entrepreneurship and innovation and is the author of a book entitled Entrepreneuriat féminin, mode d’emploi (Entrepreneurship among Women: a User Guide).
Marie-Claire Capobianco is a member of the Executive Board of Medef, France’s main employer federation. She sits on the Board of Directors of ADIE, a non-profit organisation and is President of INRC, France’s National Institute for Customer Relations. She is also a Chevalier of France’s National Order of Merit.
