For the fourth year running, BNP Paribas is holding a series of ‘Mobility Days’, running from 27 March to 14 April. This year, 35 countries across Europe, Africa, North America, Latin America and Asia are   promoting internal job mobility.

During three weeks, 150 internal career mobility events are taking place across the BNP Paribas Group. These include 30 Job Forums, where employees looking for a career move can find out about different jobs at the Bank, obtain more information about the various Group subsidiaries and businesses, and talk to managers or Human Resources experts; 32 presentations on specific themes; 50 workshops offering training on such skills as CV-writing, among many other initiatives.  This year more than 8,000 staff are expected to take part; they will have the opportunity to share their experiences on Twitter via the #MobDays17 hashtag. A campaign will be running on the Group’s Snap account, encouraging staff to offer their testimony on the Group’s goal of providing a ‘Good Place to Work’, where everyone is treated with fairness and respect in a motivating work environment, one of the key BNP Paribas values.

Internal career mobility is a central feature of the BNP Paribas Employer promise. In 2016, some 15,300 job vacancies were posted on the Group’s internal job boards, an increase of close to 25% compared with 2015 and a rise of 108% over three years. Meanwhile, the number of job vacancies filled by internal candidates rose to around 5,000 in 2016, 2% more than the previous year and a 66% rise over three years.

Furthermore, BNP Paribas confirmed its status as a dynamic recruiter, hiring 18 000 new staff worldwide in 2016.

Recruitment forecasts for France for 2017 are:

  • 2,000 permanent contract staff
  • 2,000 work-study ‘sandwich course’ recruits
  • 2,700 graduate interns
  • 350 Work Experience Volunteers under the in-company volunteering abroad (VIE) programme

In February 2017, BNP Paribas was awarded for the fourth year running the ‘Top Employer Europe’ label for the quality of its HR policies
