BNP Paribas launches its new Innovation Awards open to all BNP Paribas employees.
This initiative demonstrates BNP Paribas' commitment to making innovation one of its major assets in a profession where research and development already play an important part, from the Equities and Derivatives division which employs hundreds of mathematicians through to the retail bank's marketing force and IT development teams.
But the Innovation Awards go beyond the scope of regular research and development activities and are part of a broader ethos which aims to foster the spirit of innovation in all BNP Paribas employees. It is a participatory process that values suggestions from all members of staff, individual or collective, making innovation both a motivating force for employees and a driver for improved services to our customers.
The high point of this initiative will be the “BNP Paribas Innovation Awards 2006” ceremony at BNP Paribas' annual conference which brings together the group's 1,600 senior executives from around the world on 3 and 4 April 2007.
