BNP Paribas introduces “Ace Manager – The Second Set”, the second edition of its professional online adventure game

In 2010, BNP Paribas plans to hire about 15,000 people worldwide

BNP Paribas is introducing “Ace Manager – The Second Set”, the second edition of its professional online adventure game. This international game is open to all university level students (at the bachelor's or master's level) under the age of 26.

“Ace Manager – The Second Set” was designed in collaboration with BNP Paribas bankers. The game reflects the Group's strategy of raising BNP Paribas' profile and enhancing its appeal to young people outside of France in order to become an employer of choice among students throughout the world.

During the game's online phase, participating teams, each composed of 3 students, will test their aptitude for performing a range of banking activities in a challenge based on the economics of tennis. Students will also have to demonstrate their ability to embrace BNP Paribas' values: responsiveness, creativity, ambition and commitment.

THE MISSION: assist retired tennis star John McKenzie to launch his company “Green Tennis INC.”, which markets eco-sustainable development products related to the sport.

To confront this challenge, students must:
- Create a financial plan to launch the new company and promote its growth (Corporate and Investment Banking)

- Advise John McKenzie on real estate and asset management questions (Investment Solutions)

- Support the company “Green Tennis INC.” in its international business development (Retail Banking)

These three challenges will give students an understanding of the group's three core businesses: Retail Banking, , Investment Solutions and Corporate and Investment Banking.

This international competition will be conducted in English and will begin with an initial online phase from 17 February through 17 March 2010 on the dedicated site acemanager.bnpparibas.com.
“Ace Manager – The Second Set” will conclude with a grand finale competition for the five best teams to be held in Paris in mid-April 2010. The candidates will then face the ultimate challenge before a jury of experts consisting of emeritus professors from participating schools and members of BNP Paribas' senior management.

The finalist teams will receive prizes:
The top team will receive €9,000
The runners-up, €3,000
The third place team, €1,500
Tennis tournament tickets will also be awarded to all finalists.

Students may register beginning 20 October 2009 on the game's dedicated website, acemanager.bnpparibas.com.
