The companies working together under Fortis Foundation Belgium have decided to continue their activities in the domains of philanthropy and solidarity--only now, by using their own funds. BNP Paribas Fortis has confirmed its commitment to providing aid to disadvantaged social groups with the creation of the new BNP Paribas Fortis Foundation.
On April 8, the private foundation was legally formed. The philanthropic actions it carries out are to be overseen by the Brand, Communications & Quality department.
With the creation of this new entity, BNP Paribas Fortis hopes to put in place a policy centred on two main axes: the social integration of individuals disadvantaged by their level of education, and the encouragement of solidarity projects supported by the group's employees.
This Foundation is very much a part of the philosophy of the BNP Paribas Group, helping give rise to a dialogue between the banking world and its social environment.
