On May 2, 2007, after obtaining all regulatory authorizations required, BNP Paribas proceeded with the acquisition of Dexia Banque Privée France.
The new subsidiary of BNP Paribas Private Banking has been named Banque Privée Anjou to reflect its core business in private management and to its head office based rue d'Anjou in Paris.
With this decision, BNP Paribas is demonstrating its desire to preserve the characteristics of the subsidiary while broadening the scope of solutions offered to customers. This approach is consistent with the continuing efforts to improve customer satisfaction which BNP Paribas Private Banking has made one of its top priorities.
Marie-Claire Capobianco, Director of BNP Paribas Private Banking in France, has been appointed Chairman of Banque Privée Anjou. The Board of Directors has appointed Thierry Girard as Chief Executive. Thierry Girard was previously a private banker (family shareholding) in the Ile de France region for BNP Paribas Private Banking.
