BNP Paribas extending business in the Gulf and appoints Mark Waters as Head of Debt Capital Markets for the region

BNP Paribas in the Gulf is pleased to announce the creation of a combined syndications and bond origination platform on the ground as from October 2007. Both activities were previously followed separately from London.

This initiative will capitalise on the leading position that BNP Paribas already holds in the syndicated loan market in the Gulf as well as its growing Debt Capital Market franchise. It will also reinforce BNP Paribas presence in the region and emphasize its strong commitment to the Gulf.

The aim of BNP Paribas is to expand its range of product and to upgrade its quality of services by being close to its clients on the ground.

BNP Paribas Corporate and Investment Banking has appointed Mr. Mark Waters to this newly created position as Head of Debt Capital Markets in the Gulf Region. He is based in Bahrain, the regional hub of BNP Paribas in the G.C.C and reports to Eric Josserand, Regional Head of Fixed Income.
