BNP Paribas in exclusive talks with Calyon to acquire its equity execution business in Asia and Japan

BNP Paribas and Calyon announce that they are in exclusive talks to sign an agreement whereby BNP Paribas would acquire Calyon's equity execution business in Asia and Japan, including a corporate entity, Credit Agricole Indosuez Securities Japan (CAISJ), as well as activities based in Hong Kong.

CAISJ and its Hong Kong equivalent have a long experience and deep knowledge of Asian markets, an existing client base acquired over the last 5 years, and a technical expertise for connectivity business in Asia.
