New app drives mobile market access and cutting-edge customisation
In a push to provide the most advanced GlobalMarkets solution, BNP Paribas launches a new iPad app offering cutting-edge customisation for users. The new “MobileMarket” app is the latest addition to BNP Paribas' eCommerce offering, continuing the stream of innovation after the recent launch of its new GlobalMarkets plaform.
Driven by an ambition to position GlobalMarkets as one of the leading platforms in the industry, BNP Paribas embraces the latest technology to provide clients with access to the platform on-the-go, anytime, anywhere.
Clients can now build their own, individual mobile portal, choosing from currently 28 widgets to create an unlimited number of screens. Most popular among BNP Paribas' products, services and research across asset classes are features such as Currency Radar, Trade Ideas, Credit Indices' Winners & Losers and FX Forecasts, with a growing set of further widgets in the pipeline.
“Having launched solutions across digital, online and mobile, iPad was the next logical platform on which to break new ground", said Arne Groes, Global Head of Fixed Income Sales. “Increased mobile access to our new, customisable GlobalMarkets platform is another strategic step towards our goal: to be an integral part of our clients' workflow”.
“Social media and technological evolution are rapidly changing the way people do business”, said Thomas Soede, Global Head of eCommerce. “We've recruited some of the best talent in the industry to drive our eCommerce offering, as the opportunities are tremendous. Being at the forefront of technological developments enables us to provide cutting-edge solutions for our clients globally.”
BNP Paribas uses OpenSocial technology, a transformational web solution. Accessing GlobalMarkets, clients will find an easy, highly-intuitive interface to create and edit their portals and will be able to access their individual screens on-the-go. The iPad app is free to download for BNP Paribas clients from the Apple's App Store.
In France, BNP Paribas has pioneered the use of technology in its retail network, notably as the first bank on iPod and iPad.
