BNP Paribas Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) strengthens its organization to ensure optimal coverage for major corporate and institutional clients worldwide. The CIB division of BNP Paribas has withstood the crisis better than most of its competitors, largely due to the importance placed on clients as the focus of its business model. This advantage is further boosted by the new structure.
BNP Paribas CIB has now established a single worldwide coverage entity to serve its major clients. The new client coverage entity, called “Coverage”, is led by Eric Raynaud, assisted by Alfonso Pallavicini and Lincoln Payton. Thierry Varène, in addition to his global responsibility for the Corporate Finance business line, will continue to develop relations with major European companies, in coordination with Eric Raynaud.
At the same time, two new business lines have been created :
- Global Structured Finance, headed by Dominique Remy, assisted by Jean-Louis Duguit, which now includes the structured finance activities of origination, structuring, execution and syndication for all business sectors.
- Corporate & Transaction Group, headed by André Boulanger, assisted by Pierre Veyres, which includes all clients with diversified flow banking needs (loans, cash management, trade finance). This business line reports to Dominique Remy,
The three other business lines − Global Equities & Commodity Derivatives, headed by Yann Gerardin, Fixed Income, headed by Frédéric Janbon, and Corporate Finance, headed by Thierry Varène – continue unchanged.
Jacques d'Estais, head of the Corporate and Investment Banking division of BNP Paribas, explains: “This new structure is an integral part of BNP Paribas' ongoing strategy. It strengthens our organization's local accessibility and efficiency, providing better service for our clients worldwide. This structure will also enable the CIB division of BNP Paribas to enhance its competitiveness even more effectively.”
