BNP Paribas confirms its commitment to its financial institutions clients by reinforcing its set-up and placing it under the responsibility of Thierry Varène, member of the Corporate & Investment Banking Executive Committee and in charge of Investment Banking Europe (IBE) and Corporate Finance.
Laure Morsy is appointed Global Head of the Financial Institutions Group (FIG). Frédéric Legmann is appointed Head of the FIG IBE team of Managing Directors dedicated to strategic clients across seven key European markets, with the aim of reinforcing a relationship-driven approach and positioning BNP Paribas as their strategic banking and advisory partner.
Laure Morsy started her career in internal audit and then in risk control and risk management functions. She then specialised in financial institution client coverage, first at Société Generale and then at BNP Paribas where she was most recently in charge of the FIG International team.
Frédéric Legmann spent most of his career between Merrill Lynch and Goldman Sachs before joining Lehman Brothers, always in their respective Financial Institutions Groups and advising on strategic transactions across Europe. He was more recently a Managing Director at Lazard.
