BNP Paribas has topped the rankings for a number of corporate banking services in Europe in this year’s annual Greenwich Associates survey, and in particular has increased its market penetration in both European and Eurozone Large Corporate Banking.
The Group was ranked N°1 for Market Penetration in the following categories:
- European Top-Tier [1] Large Corporate Banking (58% market penetration vs 56% last year)
- Eurozone Large Corporate Banking (66% market penetration vs 64% last year)
- European Top-Tier Large Corporate Cash Management (36%)
- Eurozone Large Corporate Cash Management (45%)
- European Debt Capital Markets - Corporates (29%)
- European Large Corporate Trade Finance (32%)
BNP Paribas was also confirmed as a leader in several qualitative ratings:
- N°1 European Top-Tier Large Corporate Banking Quality
- N°1 Eurozone Large Corporate Banking Quality
- N°1 European Top-Tier Large Corporate Cash Management Quality
In addition, the survey confirmed BNP Paribas' leadership in France, Belgium and Luxembourg (and a N°3 ranking in Italy) both in Corporate Banking and Corporate Cash Management for market penetration and quality.

Greenwich Associates conducted 3,055 interviews for the European Corporate Banking survey with financial officers (e.g., CFOs, finance directors and treasurers) at corporates and financial institutions with sales exceeding €500m and 327 interviews for the European Trade Finance survey.
