In his new role, Jean-Yves will also oversee BNP Paribas' North American Asset Management and Securities Services businesses. He succeeds Everett Schenk, who will retire at the end of September 2012 after over 23 years with the Bank.
Jean-Yves Fillion is currently Head of BNP Paribas Fortis CIB and a member of the BNP Paribas Fortis Executive Committee and Board of Directors. Dominique will join the BNP Paribas Fortis Executive Committee. He will also be proposed to the relevant corporate bodies of BNP Paribas Fortis as a successor to Jean-Yves Fillion on the BNP Paribas Fortis Board of Directors. Dominique Remy will also supervise the client coverage and country management teams of BNP Paribas CIB in Europe, with the exception of Investment Banking Europe clients and countries, which remain under the responsibility of Thierry Varène, Head of Investment Banking Europe and Global Head of Corporate Finance.
Dominique Remy joined Paribas in 1979 and has held a variety of positions in the financing and commodity fields both in North America and in Europe where he developed close relationships with the Bank's clients.
