BNP Paribas Asset Management has launched its first multi-management theme fund. The fund will focus on innovation at world level.
The fund will be called PARSELECT MULTI-INNOVATION and will be part of the Parselect range, BNP Paribas Asset Management's multi-management line for outside distribution. The concept will also be marketed to BNP Paribas's Private Banking clients under the name of ANTIN SÉLECTION INNOVATION.

The new fund will be invested on average as follows:
- 70% in technology funds (information technology, telecommunications, Internet, etc.)
- 30% in specialised funds (biotechnology, new techniques and sources of energy, nutrition, water, etc.)
This theme fund provides a means of investing in companies that contribute actively to modernising the economy and changing our lifestyles. One of the characteristics of these companies is that they generate above-average long-term growth rates.
Furthermore, the second half of 2001 has enabled the market to distinguish between funds that had simply benefited from the technology bubble and those whose performance was based on real expertise. A number of innovation stocks have fallen to attractive price levels and it seems a good moment to move back into these promising sectors.
In view of the top-level expertise required for innovation themes, BNP Paribas Asset Management considers multi-management to be one of the best ways of covering this broad and complex investment universe.

With 10 analyst-managers, specialised by asset class, and covering all types of products for every type of customer, BNP Paribas Asset Management's multi-management team is one of the largest in France. It offers recognised management skills and a full range of services including a Website specifically for professional users providing management analysis, selling aids, and simulation and reporting software (www.parselect.com)

BNP Paribas Asset Management aims to become the European leader in Multi-management by capitalising on the experience built up over more than four years.
