BNP Paribas Asset Management launches Antin Sélection Opportunités, a multi-manager fund of funds eligible for PEAs (equity savings plans)
In response to growing demand from BNP Paribas Banque Privée France customers for funds with an absolute performance objective, BNP Paribas Asset Management has created Antin Sélection Opportunités. The portfolio of this fund of funds (French and European equities eligible for PEA plans (1)) reflects the continuing selection of talented managers with the discretion to make strong bets to generate regular outperformances.
Using our multi-management expertise for PEAs
Many French funds are eligible for PEAs. Their performance differs according to the market phase: comparing and selecting of the best managers is a complex activity requiring sophisticated expertise.
Multi-management is the most appropriate approach to selecting the best funds for a portfolio which is diversified according to style (growth, value) or market capitalisation (large, mid and small caps).
Backed by several years of experience, BNP Paribas Asset Management's multi-management team is one of the largest in France, with 20 specialists, 20,000 management profiles on file, a core list of about fifty management companies and the capacity to identify and allocate different management styles actively.
A low-risk high-performance potential
The combination of all these management styles naturally reduces overall portfolio volatility while ensuring risk is managed professionally.
Performance is optimised by selecting managers specialised in a particular market segment or management technique, and with in-depth knowledge of the companies they track. They take strong bets, weighting their portfolios at their own discretion according to the specific expectations of Private Banking customers.
Strict selection and follow-up founded on BNP Paribas Asset Management's expertise
Our quantitative and qualitative selection of the best managers is entirely based on a bottom-up, hands-on process involving frequent meetings and visits. The fund's investment universe first of all reflects the regularity of results, excellence of teams and quality of investment processes. Next, performance and risk criteria are evaluated. Finally, the portfolio is built by assembling a diversity of management styles and market caps. Our selection of funds is reviewed whenever new investment opportunities are discovered or sell decisions have to be factored in. Moreover, portfolio funds are tracked on a weekly basis and monthly contacts are organised with the portfolio managers, who are required to present regular detailed reports on their trades.
SICOVAM code: 98389
(1) To enable customers to take advantage of the expansion of the scope of PEAs to include the European market, from 1 January 2003 the investment universe of Antin Sélection Opportunités will be extended to European equity funds.
