BNP Paribas is pleased to announce the appointment of Sandeep Nanda as economist and banking and finance analyst to its Indian equities team. He will be based in Mumbai and report to Pravin Shah, Head of Indian Equity Strategy and Research.
Sandeep joins the firm from Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein where he was a senior investment analyst covering the Indian banking and finance sectors as well as macro-economic analysis since 1999. Prior to that he worked at IL&FS (Infrastructure Leasing and Financial Services) as part of the team managing the AIG Indian sectoral equity fund. Before that he was at NatWest markets as a banking analyst and head of Indian research from 1996 to 1998. He worked at SocGen Crosby Securities as an investment analyst and a research manager from 1994 to 1996. Sandeep holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management and a degree in engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology.
