BNP Paribas appoints Joe Lovrics as Head of Bond Sales for Iberia

BNP Paribas is pleased to announce the appointment of Joe Lovrics as Head of Bond Sales for Iberia. He will be based in London and will report to Colin Grassie, Global Head of Bond Sales and Stefano Paschetto, European Head of Derivatives Marketing. He will be responsible for the marketing of all cash and derivatives products for institutional investors in Spain and Portugal. In addition, he will work closely with the Iberian capital markets team managed by Stefan Lindemann, Head of Iberian Capital Markets, using his considerable profile with issuers and investors.

Joe, 41, joins the firm from Goldman Sachs in London where he has worked since 1998 as an Executive Director in Fixed Income Sales. As a senior salesman at Goldman Sachs he developed an Iberian franchise for all fixed income products. Prior to that he worked for 8 years at JP Morgan where he was syndicate manager and capital markets manager for Spain. Joe started his career as a Vice President in Capital Markets at Wood Gundy/CIBC in Toronto, Canada. Joe, a dual Spanish and Canadian national, graduated from the University of Toronto in 1981 with a BA, and from the University of Ottawa with a Law Degree in 1984. After completing his articles at Gardiner Roberts in Toronto, he was called to the Ontario Bar in 1986.
