BNP Paribas appoints three Heads of Territory

BNP Paribas is appointing three Heads of Territory—in Brazil, Switzerland and the UK.

Louis Bazire is appointed Head of Territory in Brazil.
Based in Sao Paolo, he takes up his responsibilities as from 1st October 2007. In his new job Louis Bazire will continue to develop all BNP Paribas business lines in this “BRIC” country, strategically important for the group. He replaces Bernard Mencier, who has filled this role since 2001, and has lifted BNP Paribas to the top rank of investment banks in Brazil. Bernard Mencier retires from his executive functions but remains Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the bank in Brazil.

Louis Bazire, 53 years old, has a degree from HEC. He joined the group in 1977 and has had various appointments, notably within the international network of BNP Paribas (Mexico, Spain, Belgium and Switzerland). After having delt with the integration of the CIB IT systems and platforms during the BNP Paribas Merger, he took charge of the Swiss Territory in 2003, where he helped develop the businesses while merging the three group banks into a single entity.

Pascal Boris is appointed Head of Territory in Switzerland.
Based in Geneva, he will take up his duties on 20th September 2007. In his new role, Pascal Boris will work to confirm the position of BNP Paribas as the undisputed leader in the financing of commodities and shipping and will further strengthen the strong position of the Private Bank in Switzerland. BNP Paribas is the leading foreign bank in Switzerland.

Pascal Boris, 57 years of age, has degrees from HEC as well as from New York University and the London Business School. He joined BNP Paribas in 1988 as Director of bond business in Switzerland and was then appointed in 1990 as Head of the North American network. From 1992 to 1999 he headed the banking and specialised finance business line from London and since 1999 has been UK Head of Territory. He began his career in 1975 with Chase Manhattan Bank where he was Managing Director of Investment Banking in London.

Ludovic de Montille is appointed Head of Territory in the UK.
Based in London, Ludovic de Montille took up his duties on 1st September 2007. He began his career in 1982 at the French Treasury and joined the group 1997 in London in Fixed Income. In 1999, he became Head of marketing for Fixed Income products in France and Head of marketing worldwide for Euro Fixed Income products.
