BNP PARIBAS appoints David Ovenden as global head of credit within the Fixed Income business line

BNP Paribas is pleased to announce the appointment of David Ovenden as Global Head of Credit for Fixed Income. In this role he will be responsible for High Grade, High Yield, Emerging Markets, Credit Derivatives, Securitisation and Debt Capital Markets activities.

David Ovenden will report to Jacques d'Estais, Global Head of Fixed Income and will sit on the Fixed Income Executive Committee.

The Fixed Income Executive Committee - chaired by Jacques d'Estais - is composed of four product heads: Bob Hawley, Global Head of Government Bonds and Short Term Instruments; Frédéric Janbon, Global Head of Interest Rate Derivatives; Loïc Meinnel, Global Head of Foreign Exchange; David Ovenden, Global Head of Credit, and four regional heads: David Brunner (Americas), Fabrice di Meglio (France), Eric Raynaud (Asia) and Yusuke Yasuda (Japan).

David Ovenden, 41, joined Paribas in September 1997 as Global Head of Syndicate, after nine years at J.P. Morgan. In March 2000 he became co-head of High Grade and High Yield Bond business and retained his role as Global Head of Syndication.
