Easier and quicker navigation and a new video area Focus on the Bank's products and services
Rome, September 7, 2006 – From today BNL is on line with its new corporate web site www.bnl.it. It has had a major revamp, which reflects the Bank's new identity now that it has joined the BNP Paribas banking group, one of the European leaders and amongst the top 15 banks in the world.
The first important statement about the change had already been made with the adoption of the new logo - which associates the BNL name with the characteristic image of "taking flight" common to all companies in the BNP Paribas Group – and the decision to become “title sponsor” in Italy for tennis internationals.
BNL now represents the BNP Paribas Group in Italy, combining its own role as a bank firmly embedded in the Italian economic and social fabric with the dynamism and efficiency of an international group.
The new graphic look of the web site clearly aims at using blazing colors, to help organize and highlight the contents. The original choice of colors is in line with the visual message of the BNP Paribas Group and the web site carries its slogan “La banca per un mondo che cambia” (The bank for a changing world).
The new site focuses on product news, clearly visible from the home page where an area is dedicated to the various client target groups and mini advertising spots are used.
The portal covers substantially three main areas: the corporate area with information relating to BNL and the BNP Paribas Group; the information area given over to the Bank's latest press releases, marketing initiatives and economic research; and, finally, the area for accessing products and e-banking. Because the site is designed to be as user-friendly as possible, access to information geared towards clients' many different requirements is quick and easy.
New features include the Video Center, a section given over to videos produced by BNL and BNP Paribas. Accessible from the home page, it is designed to be a real commercial and corporate shop window that will be constantly updated. The Video Center, which is presently showing the BNP Paribas corporate video to coincide with the launch of the new web site, will showcase the initiatives, sponsorship and new products of the Bank and the Group.
