BNL is pleased to announce the nomination of Stefano Calderano as head of BNL Retail and Private Banking.
He comes from Banca Intesa, where he led Marketing Retail management starting in 2003, overseeing the integration of the Group's banks by putting in place a single, efficient business model. Before that, he held the same position in the BankPost Division of the Italian Post Office Services for four and a half years, and helped create one of the biggest success stories in the Italian financial-services market. He trained at Mckinsey & Co. Italia, following organization, marketing and corporate strategy projects in the financial and health care sectors.
Born in Naples 42 years ago, Calderano is graduated in Economics and Business at the Federico II University and obtained a Master in Business Administration from the International Institute for Business Development in Lausanne.
With the arrival of Stefano Calderano, a manager of proven professionalism and wide experience – said BNL's Chief Executive Officer, Jean-Laurent Bonnafé – we aim to strengthen our position in the retail and private banking market by developing a platform of competitive and innovative products and services.
Calderano takes over BNL's Retail & Private Banking from Alessandro Maida, who is appointed as General Manager of BNL Direct Services, a company that manages the Group's multi channels, where he was already Vice President.
