Atisreal, a subsidiary of BNP Paribas Real Estate, is pushing ahead with its international expansion

The beginning of 2008 marks an acceleration in Atisreal's international expansion strategy. The company consolidates its position in the United Kingdom, creates subsidiaries in 5 new countries and has just signed an Alliance contract in Russia.

At the beginning of this year, Atisreal also branched out in Eastern Europe, to three new high-growth countries.
In Romania, Atisreal has just bought Cornerstone International, a key market player, established in Bucharest. In the Ukraine, Atisreal has just opened an agency in Kiev, managed by Benoît Gendrot. He is to identify development opportunities for Atisreal in Ukraine. Here again, the market is extremely buoyant in the region, with an annual growth rate of about +7%, supported by high household consumption (+32%) and numerous projects in corporate real estate property development. Atisreal will also benefit from the presence of BNP Paribas, via UkrSibbank, which has 12,000 employees across the country.

In Russia, Atisreal has just signed a new Alliance contract with Astera. The company is based in Moscow and Saint-Petersburg, with 174 staff specialising in Brokerage (office, retail and logistic), Investment, Valuation, Research, real estate property development advisory, property management, auctions and space planning. Russia is an attractive market for Russian and international investors and with growth of +7.9% in 2007. Astera is managed by Geoffrey Cox (Chairman) and Alexei Filimonov (Vice-Chairman).

Making new inroads in the Middle East: Dubai and Bahrain
For the moment, Atisreal's strategy in the Middle East is to forge relationships with investors based in the Gulf region who want to invest in Europe. The aim of Atisreal Dubai and Atisreal Bahrain is also to offer local investors the full range of BNP Paribas Real Estate services, in Europe and in India.
Rupert Jones has been appointed Senior Vice-Chairman of Atisreal Dubai and Olivier Ghattas, Senior Vice-Chairman of Atisreal Bahrain.
