Arval to participate in the 11th edition of the Michelin “Challenge Bibendum” event

Arval will participate in the 11th edition of the “Challenge Bibendum (unavailable link)” event that will take place from 18 to 22 May in Berlin, Germany. Organised by Michelin Group to promote sustainable mobility for the future, this event provides Arval the opportunity to present three successful CSR initiatives deployed in its subsidiaries.

The “Challenge Bibendum” event is organised by the Michelin Group in order to promote a sustainable mobility for the future by witnessing the latest industry's trends and their progress. The 2011 edition is expected to gather more than five thousand major European representatives from the worlds of politics, business, industry, scientific community, media and civil society.

As the European full service vehicle leasing number 2, with a leased fleet of nearly 700,000 vehicles, Arval cannot ignore its duty to environmental protection and road safety. As such, the group is a major player in the field of responsible mobility. Arval thus decided to participate in the Challenge Bibendum in order to share and discuss the new challenges and solutions for sustainable road mobility in an enlivening market: Arval will take part in a conference on Company Mobility Plans organised in the frame of this event, and will also be present with a stand in the exposition area.

Three of the group's latest CSR initiatives will particularly be presented: Ecopolis, a “CSR virtual box” imagined by Arval's Italian subsidiary, containing all its sustainable development initiatives; Drive4Life, Arval United-Kingdom's program designed to promote road safety among its 900+ staff and its rewarding results; and AutoPartage par Arval, a car pooling project currently being conducted in France with around 100 Arval employees and a selection of customers, and whose offer will be further extended in a near future to other Arval customers and prospects.
