Arval, the BNP Paribas group company specialising in the operational leasing of multi-brand corporate vehicles, has just opened a Russian subsidiary based in Moscow. Arval's goal is to become a leading player in the country.
Russia has the largest land area of any country in the world and, with a population of 143 million people and over 24 million cars, the Russian market offers real opportunities for long-term corporate leasing with over 45,000 registered business vehicles in 2005.
In addition to developing its market in this region of the world, this new subsidiary will also enable Arval to serve its international clients operating in Russia, and guarantee them the same service offered in the other countries where Arval does business.
Sergei Dianin, 40, will be Managing Director of the new entity. Prior to joining Arval, Sergei worked as Managing Director of Moscow-based Rolf Leasing. He will be assisted by Renaud Warluzel, previously Arval's Manager of International Coordination of Operations, who has been appointed Director of Development for Arval Russia.
