BNP Paribas is pleased to announce the appointments of Tim Draper as Head of European Equity Sales and Ricardo Mandelbaum as Head of its new Spanish Equities platform. They will both report to Laurent Cadieu, Head of European Product within the BNP Paribas Equity Cash business (Research & Brokerage).
Tim Draper, 42, joins from JP Morgan where he has worked for the past 8 years. During his career he has held a number of senior positions in equity sales and research both in London and in Paris. At JP Morgan he was a member of the European Equity Management Committee and most recently was head of European Equity Syndication. In his new position, Tim will be responsible for the distribution and marketing of BNP Paribas' European Equity product worldwide.
Ricardo Mandelbaum, 53, joins from Banco Santander, where for the last 2 years he was CEO and Head of Equities of Santander Investment Securities in New York. Prior to that, Ricardo Mandelbaum was, among others, a Founding Partner of FG Inversiones Bursatiles, a Spanish broker which was acquired by Merrill Lynch in 1996, and then CEO of Merrill Lynch Asset Management España.Based in Madrid, Ricardo will spearhead the development of the BNP Paribas Equities business on the Spanish market. A leader in equity brokerage in continental Europe, BNP Paribas is N°1 in France and holds very strong positions in Germany, Italy and Switzerland.
