Philippe Vuarchex is named head the global Media/Telecom operations in Structured Financing. Based in Paris, he will report to Michel Konczaty, global head of the Structured Financing business. He will be assisted by François Artignan, manager of the Europe region, Jean-Yves Fillon and Lynne Randall, co-managers of the America region and Denis Fargier, manager of the Asia region.

Philippe Vuarchex (an HEC alumnus) joined Paribas in 1985. After 6 years spent in the Financial Management Division where he was involved in the Group's acquisitions and external development projects he joined the Media/Telecom acquisition financing team in New York as one of the Directors. In 1997, he was asked to open the London office of PAI, the Group's direct investments division, and is one of the directors of the PAI LBO Investment Fund.

François Artignan (a Paris Mines Engineering School alumnus) came to BNP in 1998 as European Manager of the Media/Telecom Group. Before joining the bank, he worked for Crédit Lyonnais since 1987 in various positions in commercial banking, then in telecom project financing in France and in the United States

Jean-Yves Fillion (a University of Paris Dauphine and HEC-ISA alumnus) joined the Media/Telecom financing group in the US in 1999 where he played a particularly active role in its reorganization during the merger, enhancing the "Major Corporate Clients" and "Asset Management" segments. At Paribas for 17 years, he has held a variety of position in the Group, in France as well as in the United States.

Lynne Randall (MBA from Boston University) came to the Media/Telecom group in the US in October 1996 in origination and transaction structuring positions for medium-sized companies in the industry. Prior to that, she was Senior Vice President of Fleet Bank where she spent 10 years in the Media/Telecom group.

Denis Fargier (an HEC alumnus) joined Paribas's Asia Pacific Media/Telecom group in 1996. He was based in Hong Kong and in Singapore. Before that, he worked in Citibank's Telecom Project Financing Department in London as well as in Crédit Lyonnais's Structured Financing Department.
