New Appointments

Stéphane de Marnhac has been appointed Head of Investor Relations and Financial Information for the BNP Paribas Group, succeeding Béatrice Belorgey in the role.

The Investor Relations and Financial Information (IRFI) team is responsible for Group financial communication. Reporting to General Management and the Head of Finance, the team formulates and disseminates financial information on the BNP Paribas Group and is also responsible for relations with institutional investors, analysts, market authorities, the ratings agencies and individual shareholders.

Béatrice Belorgey has been appointed Deputy Head of Private Banking, France. In her new post she will serve as number two to Sofia Merlo, Head of Private Banking, France, who also holds the position of Co-CEO Wealth Management.

Career paths

A graduate of the French Economics and Business Studies Institute ESSEC and with a ‘DESS' postgraduate qualification in Finance, Stéphane de Marnhac joined BNP Paribas in 1990, initially working in the Structured Finance department. In 1993 he moved to the Inspection Générale where he performed audit and inspection duties at the Bank's various core businesses before moving over to Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) as Head of Management Control in 1998. In 2000, he joined the CIB Corporate Acquisition Finance department, which specialises in providing finance for M&A operations by the Bank's major corporate clients. From 2008 onwards, Stéphane de Marnhac was Head of CIB Corporate Acquisition Finance for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region.

A graduate of the Paris Institut d'Études Politiques (Sciences Po) and a qualified financial analyst (CEFA), Béatrice Belorgey began her career at BNP Paribas in 1986 as a credit analyst with the Bank's Paris Regional Department.
Three years later she moved over to Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB), working first in the Fixed Income department, then in Corporate Finance. In 2000, she joined the Wealth Management business line in Luxembourg, in charge of Financial Products and the Advisory Desk.
After five years in Private Banking, she joined the Investor Relations team, becoming Head of Financial Information for the Group, also taking charge inter alia of relations with sell-side analysts and the ratings agencies.
In 2009 Béatrice Belorgey was appointed Group Head of Investor Relations and Financial Information.
