Joachim Von Schorlemer has been appointed Director of BNP Paribas Germany succeeding Eric Martin, who becomes Director of BNP Paribas Luxembourg in replacement for Alain Bailly, appointed Executive Board Member of TEB in Turkey.

Joachim Von Schorlemer, 47 years old, is a graduate of the University of Hamburg.

He began his career in 1983 at JP Morgan.
He later joined Deutsche Bank, then Credit Suisse First Boston, as manager of coverage operations and co-manager of the investment banking business in Germany. Since the beginning of 2004, he has been Senior Banker at BNP Paribas in Frankfurt.

Eric Martin, 51 years old, is a graduate of the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce, Paris.

He began his career in 1975 in BNP Paribas' retail network in France.
He joined the General Inspection department in 1981, transferring to the International Financial Affairs department in 1986. He pursued his career at the investment bank, in Fixed Income in London and in Paris from 1987 to 1993, prior to becoming head of Capital Markets in New York until 1996.
On his return to Paris, he managed the North American region for BNP Paribas' finance and investment banking division before being appointed Director of BNP Paribas in Japan in 1998.
He has been Director of BNP Paribas Germany since 2001.

Alain Bailly, 57 years old, is a graduate of the Institut d'Etudes Politiques, Paris.

He began his career in 1972 in BNP Paribas' retail network in France.
He joined the General Inspection in 1979, before taking charge of Corporate clients, followed by managing the branch in La Réunion.
In 1990, he joined the Africa Americas Asia Pacific department as branch manager.
He was head of BNP Paribas in Australia from 1992 to 1994, followed by Singapore until 2001. Since then, he has been Director of BNP Paribas Luxembourg.
