Ace Manager – The Third Set For the third consecutive year, BNP Paribas is to run an online contest designed to increase brand awareness in universities worldwide. For the first time, BNP Paribas will offer internships to all finalists

For a third consecutive year, BNP Paribas is to run in 2011 an online contest intended to increase global brand awareness in universities worldwide. Entitled ‘Ace Manager - The Third Set', this international contest is open to all students in higher education – those currently studying for a ‘Bachelor' or ‘Masters' degree – who are under 26 years of age.

Ace Manager - The Third Set, which has been designed by BNP Paribas bank staff, is part of the overall BNP Paribas strategy for improving brand awareness and enhancing the attractiveness of the Group among young people. BNP Paribas has set the goal of branding itself as one of the most attractive employers among students worldwide.

During the online phase of the contest, participating teams, each composed of three students, will test their ability to perform various banking jobs as part of an overall business task linked to the world of tennis.

THE TASK
The contest will take place inside a fictitious town called Universe-City where the students will help to organise a new Grand Slam tennis tournament. This great sporting event will be the starting point for a range of new projects designed to turn Universe-City into the global capital of tennis and sustainable development.

To fulfil the task, the contestants will have to meet numerous challenges linked to the BNP Paribas Group's three core business areas - retail banking, asset management, and commercial and investment banking - and in connection with Group functions such as human resources, corporate philanthropy, marketing and communication.

CONTEST TIMETABLE
This international competition will be run in English, beginning with an initial online phase from 15 February to 15 March 2011 on a dedicated website: acemanager.bnpparibas.com. Ace Manager - The Third Set will then conclude with a grand final between the five best teams in Paris in mid-April 2011. Teams will have to meet the final challenge in front of an expert jury composed of former teachers from participating universities and members of BNP Paribas top management.

Students may register for the contest as from 25 October 2010 at: acemanager.bnpparibas.com.

THE PRIZES
All finalists will receive cash prizes as follows:
Winning team: €9,000
Runner-up team: €3,000
Third-placed team: €1,500
All finalists will also receive tickets to a tennis event.

In 2010 for the first time, BNP Paribas will offer every member of the three top-placed teams a broad choice of international internships within the Group's three core business areas.

In its drive to enhance brand awareness and the attractiveness of the Group among students from the best universities and schools across the world, BNP Paribas is capitalising on its links with tennis, already closely associated with the brand after 37 years of global sponsoring of the sport, coupled with its strong capacity to offer interesting career prospects to new talent.

Over 60% of BNP Paribas staff and clients are located outside France. The Group recruits right across the world among people of varied profiles and provides jobs in more than 300 different business lines. In 2011, BNP Paribas plans to recruit around 15,000 new staff around the world, 3,000 of them in France.

In addition, BNP Paribas Group works through a wide range of activities to promote sustainable development.

The second round of Ace Manager attracted over 8,000 participants from some 100 countries on five continents, bringing more than a million students into contact with the
BNP Paribas brand. The Ace Manager website has received over 200,000 visits and the Facebook community numbers more than 2,000 fans. https://www.facebook.com/BNPParibas.AceManager?ref=ts
