Since 2005, BNP Paribas, world tennis's number 1 partner, has actively supported the development of the Fed Cup, the world's premier international team competition in women's tennis, now known as the Fed Cup by BNP Paribas.

The first round of the Fed Cup by BNP Paribas 2009 will take place 7 to 8 February, when Russia will play against China at the Olympic Stadium in Moscow.

BNP Paribas is one of the first foreign banking groups who came in Russia in 1974 and started its activity through a Representative Office. Today BNP Paribas Group is represented in Russia via three major segments: Corporate and Investment Banking, Asset Management & Services and Retail Banking.

BNP Paribas, a partner of tennis in all its forms, became the title sponsor of the Fed Cup in 2005. This sponsorship is an opportunity for the group to incorporate the richness of women's values, which are the values of the future, into its image. This partnership also enables the group to share its passion for tennis with almost all of the territories in which it conducts its activities. With more than 80 participating nations, the Fed Cup by BNP Paribas is a powerful vector of communication for the group, which is present in 85 countries.
