The General Management and the Executive Committee

The General Management of BNP Paribas is composed of a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) plus two Chief Operating Officers (COO) and two Deputy Chief Operating Officers.

As Chief Executive Officer, Jean-Laurent Bonnafé bears responsibility for the management of the Group and, for this purpose, is invested with extensive powers. Accordingly, all operational activities and Group functions fall under his direct responsibility.

The Executive Committee brings together the General Management as well as 14 other members - Heads of businesses and central functions. They meet at least once a week.

Career

Elena Goitini joined the BNP Paribas Group in 2019 as Head of Private Banking and Wealth Management in Italy. She has over 25 years of experience in the financial and banking sector. She started working in Milan as consultant for PWC and then she moved to UniCredit Group with several key assignments in Italy, Germany, Austria, Turkey and Poland.

In 2021, Elena Goitini is appointed Chief Executive Officer of BNL.

Education

Elena Goitini graduated in Economics from Bocconi University in Milan and has Management diplomas from SDA Bocconi, INSEAD and IMD Lausanne.
