Windows Systems Administrator – Analyst

Main Responsibilities

Full stack support

  • Responsible for supporting a trading environment consisting of Windows servers and be actively involved in the planning and implementation of new projects.
  • Provide 1st, 2nd and 3rd Level Support for the production Environments
  • Perform system upgrades and mandatory security/OS patching.
  • Liaise with application support teams to gather requirements, design, and deploy standard systems 
  • Perform thorough morning checks on all critical applications using existing tools or scripts.
  • Incident and Problem management: take ownership and work with team to resolve production related issues.

Risk & resilience management

  • Build & support Microsoft Failover clusters & also work with stretch clusters. 
  • Manage Business Continuance in relation to Disaster Recovery.
  • Maintain System high reliability, availability and resiliency levels.
  • Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance, hardening and vulnerability remediations across Windows platforms. 

Automation & AI enablement

  • Develop and build automation scripts using Ansible to provision, deploy, perform patching and reduce manual operational work. 
  • Integrate AI / ML driven operational tools to improve monitoring, performance tuning and capacity planning

Policy & standards ownership

  • Interface with Vendors and Internal Global Teams to ensure the environment conforms to the current standards.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all systems are deployed consistent with group standards and best practices.
  • Strictly abide and follow the company policy and procedures pertaining to change and incident management.

Continuous monitoring

  • Proactive System Performance Monitoring (using Geneos, Dynatrace HP/DELL/IBM ) and capacity management
  • Provide 24*7 On call support based on rotation within the team 

Inventory & documentation

  • Maintain an accurate CMDB record of hardware, OS images, network topology, and configuration baselines; keep running books and architecture diagrams up to date.

Technical Competencies

  • Operating Systems – Senior level in Windows 2016/2019/2022/2025.
  • Performance & Observability – Experience with monitoring tools (Dynatrace) and troubleshooting.
  • Scripting & Automation – Experience with PowerShell and scripting. Python, Ansible.
  • Networking – Strong TCP/IP fundamentals; ability to capture/analyses traffic with tcp dump, Wireshark.
  • Core Services – Experience with DNS, DHCP, Windows server management, Windows Cluster, Active Directory.
  • Virtualization & Containers – Experience with VMware vSphere 8+
  • Storage – Experience managing storage disks hosted on Dell and Pure storages.

Position requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)      
  • Languages: Fluent English (and Portuguese)
  • Windows Server administration            
  • Production support of critical infrastructure
  • Scripting (PowerShell) and automation experience (Ansible)              
  • Ability to communicate clearly with developers, business users, and senior management         
  • Demonstrated project‑management or coordination skills in a fast‑moving trading context
