About the job

The Sanctions and Embargoes A Officer’s mission is to perform the first, quick triage of alerts produced by the Group’s Sanctions & Embargoes payments filtering system. The Level A S&E Officer must recognise obvious false hits and release the payments linked to these, escalating other alerts to B1 teams for further analysis and investigation.

Your main activities are

  • Analyse sanctions alerts by reviewing the contents of the alert, including payment details and hits and on the basis of these determining whether the alert is an obvious false hit and thus to be released or is not an obvious false hit and needs to be escalated by B1.
  • Deliver a timely and accurate delivery of analysis by ensuring alerts are correctly prioritised, promptly reviewed, correctly analysed and the right drop-down menu decisions selected.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and tools by identifying and measuring process inefficiencies or tool deficiencies, escalating these so that proposed changes can be assessed and sharing bet practice with other Compliance Hub Teams.
  • Contribute to the team’s organisation and coherence by facilitating discussions within the team (e.g., at morning meetings).
  • Contribute to transversal team topics like organisation of rotas, events and more.
