Project Finance Associate

Main responsibilities:

  • Develop financial models, including cash flow projections, sensitivity analyses, macros, and risk assessments.
  • Support the team in origination (pitching) of project finance transactions, including debt structuring and debt advisory.
  • Support the team during Project due diligence process (technical, financial, legal, environmental) and during the discussion regarding term sheets and mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare presentation (ppt), teasers, info memos
  • Support the preparation of credit memos and documentation for internal approvals.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s or MBA is a plus.
  • Proven experience in project finance, structured finance, corporate finance, or related areas within banking or financial institutions.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
  • Solid understanding of project finance structures (non-recourse/limited recourse), risk allocation, and financial documentation.
  • Experience in infrastructure, energy (including renewables), or PPP sectors is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines with accuracy.
  • Fluent in English and Portuguese; additional languages (e.g. Spanish, French, or others) are a plus depending on the market.
