Position Purpose : 

As a procurement manager for India entities, negotiate vendor contracts and renewals, obtain new proposals to meet business requirement, to maintain the procurement tracker and follow up with respective stakeholders for completion, to provide MIS reports to senior management on the procurement initiatives undertaken.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

  • To coordinate the procurement of external services and goods in the corporate services category (including Real estate) within BNPP Bank, ISPL & GSO scope and to develop and manage local supplier relationships with the aim of constantly improving service quality vs. cost levels at acceptable level of risk.
  • To ensure the BNPP Group procedures are adhered while negotiating and awarding procurement contracts. 
  • To support the implementation of Global/ Pan India contracts/Services / agreements within the territory
  • To provide India local Business and Function managers with summaries of the important points in agreements for them to mitigate the risk of non-compliance
  • To build partnership with local Business and Function managers to ensure Procurement’s appropriate involvement in negotiations with suppliers and contract execution in general
  • To mitigate legal & statutory risk associated with related procurement contracts in conjunction with Legal & Compliance Department.
  • To regularly report in an agreed format analytical data on expenses by purchase category, the status of projects in progress, projects that are planned with associated quality improvement/savings and quality improvement/savings that have already been achieved within the territory
  • Conduct Procurement Steering committee meetings on a quarterly /need basis

Performance Measurement Criteria 

  • % of expense in which India Procurement has involvement
  • % of expenditure covered by regional or global contracts
  • Reduction in costs (based on BNP Paribas Group’s methodology for like-for-like comparison)
  • Cost avoidance versus initial supplier proposals for new contracts
  • Cost avoidance versus requests by suppliers for price increases for goods and services
  • Satisfaction levels of internal clients
  • Contribute to the Permanent Control framework

Contract Governance

  • Establish and implement procedures to monitor and verify that service commitments are being met
  • Actively participate in problem and incident monitoring and resolution
  • Establish and implement guidelines to collect and analyze stakeholder inputs and feedback

 

 Budget and risk management

  • Actively contribute to the budget exercises with user groups and finance teams, while enabling better demand management.
  • Support the management of team risks through KPIs, risk register, and quarterly review process  ensuring compliance with best practice and the legislative framework
  • Establish and implement procedures to manage risks across sourced services and service providers
  • Establish and implement procedures to meet security and privacy requirements
  • Establish and implement procedures to comply with applicable internal policies or standards and statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Co-ordinate with compliance and legal teams to ensure statutory requirements during the sourcing / contracting process are complied with
