Legal Officer
BNP PARIBAS Cardif Bulgaria, operating in Sofia as 2 branches of Cardif Assurances Risques Divers SA and Cardif Assurances Vie SA, France is looking for a professional to take the position of in-house Legal Counsel (Substitution employment contract - Maternity leave replacement).
What is the role?
Working on local projects related to development of new insurance products.
Support to the Legal Manager on all legal matters (identification of legal risks, interpretation of legal information, preparation of opinions) to provide legal protection for the Company.
Capacity of drafting corporate legal documents in both Bulgarian and English;
Assuring the record of the normative acts applicable to contracts, guarantees, fiscal area, as well as in the organization and functioning of the commercial companies in general and of the employer in particular and informing the interested departments regarding the provisions of the normative acts and their proper application.
Specific advice provided to the other departments, upon their request, regarding the application of the legal norms & standards.
Assure legal quality of negotiated contracts (evaluates and analyzes legal implications, draft documentation, provide legal advice) to guarantee the legal security of transactions concluded by the Company.
What qualities do we look for?
Bulgarian qualified lawyer - high level of knowledge of insurance law; civil law, corporate law;
- At least 3 years of experience years at a relevant position in Legal Department at insurance company, bank, other financial institution, or law office is considered as advantage;
- Attention to detail, analysis and synthesis capacity;
- Highly motivated team player;
- Excellent communication interpersonal and skills to finds solutions;
- Organizational skills and ability of effective prioritization to meet internal and external needs and expectations;
- Ability to coordinate and interact with the different actors locally;
- Fluent in Bulgarian and English – written, oral, legal.
- MS Office proficiency;
Engagement with the goals and standards of BNP PARIBAS Cardif Bulgaria.
