About the Job

  • As part of the Transversal Assets and Information Technology Transversal & Functions (ITT&F) organisation, the Referential domain manages reference (master) data shared across the Group, ensuring consistency, standardisation, and a unified view of data attributes and nomenclatures

Your Main Activities Are

  • Design, build, and optimise data pipelines for data ingestion and transformation
  • Ensure data quality, reliability, and governance across data assets
  • Develop dashboards and visualisations to support business insights
  • Deliver automated, scalable, production-ready solutions
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Document data pipelines, processes, and solutions
  • Conduct code reviews 

Profile and Skills to Success

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in IT and/or Data Analytics
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python
  • Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written
  • Solid understanding of data modeling concepts
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • High attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Customer-oriented mindset
  • Proactive attitude and continuous improvement mindset
  • Strong collaboration skills with ability to manage multiple priorities

About the Team 

  • The team delivers Master Data solutions across Finance, Risk, and Human Resources, covering counterparty data, financial and organisational structures, as well as nomenclatures and data dictionaries
  • Data Quality is a key foundation of the team’s work, ensuring reliable and trusted data across systems through data monitoring, preparation, and the creation and virtualisation of data outputs
  • The team is responsible for delivering high-quality Master Data solutions, designing and implementing system evolutions, providing technical and functional support (including training), contributing to re-design initiatives and ensuring continuous data quality monitoring
  • The Data Fabric is a transversal data platform within a domain managing BNP Paribas’ Group Referentials. The platform delivers tools and services to support referential teams in addressing their core data challenges related to data access, reconciliation, data quality control, and governance enforcement
  • The team operates at the intersection of business and tech: engaging directly with referential stakeholders to understand their activity, identify pain points, challenges, and identify opportunities for mutualisation and knowledge capitalisation
  • The platform is run by an agile squad composed of technical leads, data engineers, data scientists, business analysts, Scrum Master and a Product Owner, all working within a structured delivery framework
  • The technical stack is composed of Ab Initio for data virtualisation, processing, governance and orchestration, Dataiku for Data Science, and Tableau/Power BI for reporting and data visualisation
