What would be your typical day at BNPP Paribas look like?
Primary Role Responsibilities
Regulatory Reporting Governance
• Champion the design and implementation of regulatory reporting control standards, training initiatives, and target operating models transversally across APAC territories.
• Provide strategic oversight of regulatory control monitoring activities across APAC entities.
• Conduct the identification and analysis of control exceptions, driving cross-functional alignment to address root causes and to resolve control gaps.
• Develop data-driven management dashboards and reports that track regulatory incidents, review findings, and control results.
• Engage in regulatory forums and cross-border working groups to influence the regulatory reporting agenda, and drive advocacy efforts in the region.
• Partner with Risk ORM, and Compliance to develop an integrated view of regulatory change delivery, harmonizing control metrics and process enhancements.
Financial Performance Management
• Cost Control & Monitoring Month on Month Headcount and cost tracking (Onshore & Offshore)
• Prepare various management accounts and reports, including headcount and costs, and assist in developing presentations to communicate financial data and insights.
• Assist in monthly budget consumption follow-ups, analysing actual expenditures, forecasting upcoming expenses, and identifying trends or variances with a strong focus on cost control.
• Book timely accruals and resolving queries
• P&L Review periodically and addressing any queries with Finance, Accounting, HR and respective regional finance teams.
• Monthly request to be sent for HC / Cost review and approvals to APAC and HO
Contract & Invoice Management
• Liaise with invoicing and support teams in India for accurate and timely payments.
• Manage consulting contracts and invoices using technical tools, analyzing costs and invoices, and reclassifying invoices as needed based on changes in GL code or project code.
• Process Withholding Tax (WHT) forms for foreign payments and ensure compliance with tax regulations and internal policies.
• Follow up with the Accounts Payable (AP) team to check payment approvals and coordinate with approvers to process payments in a timely manner.
• Resolve procurement queries and ensure that leads adhere to budgets by monitoring spending against approved budgets.
• Coordinate signatures and approvals as required, and check milestones and amendments against budgets to assess the actual scenario.
Management Update
• Provide clear and concise updates on progress of regulatory projects/changes, initiatives during Territory steering committees and organize the quarterly Regional Regulatory Reporting steering committee
• Manage communications and updates for senior leadership (e.g. Territory COOs and CEOs) on regulatory matters, incidents, and transformation initiatives.
Other contributions
Project Delivery
• Lead the design of the system workflow logic and user interface for the APAC regulatory inventory management platform, ensuring alignment with evolving business needs and operational workflows.
• Facilitate training and knowledge clinics to ensure end-user readiness and drive tool adoption across functional teams.
• Proactively monitor user feedback and tool performance metrics to drive continuous improvements in functionality, accuracy, and user experience.
• Administer Clarity and handle invoicing in Basware.
What is required for you to succeed?
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
Domain
• 1-3 years of experience in the financial industry with strong exposure to Regulatory Reporting, Risk, Compliance, and Project Management.
• Good understanding of the Singapore and/or APAC regulatory environment; experience interpreting regulatory policies is a plus.
• Finance/Accounting Degree / Chartered Accountant
• Project management skills: financial/budget/cost/resource management
• Demonstrated skill in analyzing data feeds to support data-driven decision-making.
• Solid experience of data analysis (1\/IS Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Fluency in English

• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
• Adaptable and resilient in fast-paced environments, with strong organizational and multi-tasking capabilities.
• Effective interpersonal skills to collaborate across regions and influence stakeholders across business lines and seniority levels.
