The position at a glance
This role supports BNP Paribas Securities Services Canada’s mission by ensuring the precise delivery of financial services and Net Asset Value calculations for our mutual fund clients. You will contribute to the operational excellence of the Fund Administration department by maintaining accurate accounting books and supporting critical financial reporting. Your work ensures the integrity of client data and helps maintain the high standards of service expected by our global stakeholders.
In detail
• Calculates Net Asset Values (NAV) for an assigned portfolio of funds by performing cash projections, reconciliations, and expense analyses to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Resolves data discrepancies by analyzing fund and account information to identify potential problems and develop reasoned solutions.
• Maintains comprehensive supporting documentation and records in accordance with retention policies to ensure audit readiness and regulatory compliance.
• Produces internal and external reports by compiling accurate fund data to meet client and regulator requirements.
• Implements process improvement initiatives each quarter by identifying opportunities for automation to increase departmental efficiency.
• Collaborates with team members through knowledge sharing and backup support to ensure seamless service continuity during business-critical periods.
• Monitors team mailboxes and responds to queries promptly to maintain high levels of client service and communication.
• Adheres to ISAE 3402 controls and internal procedures to mitigate financial risk and ensure 100% compliance for all NAV packs.

• Bachelor’s in Economics, Finance or Accounting
• The knowledge of English is required.*
• Minimum 1 year of experience in fund accounting or financial operations
• Reasoned problem solving when addressing complex fund reconciliations and data discrepancies
• Collaborative teamwork to support colleagues and share product knowledge
• Responsible workload management to prioritize tasks and meet strict reporting deadlines
• Meticulous attention to detail when performing NAV calculations and reviewing income/expenses
• Committed approach to continuous improvement when developing new processes or automation initiatives
• Effective communication when interacting with internal stakeholders and responding to queries
*Given the vast majority of our clients, both internal and external, are based outside of Quebec and Canada, specific language requirements may apply. Professional working proficiency in English language is required.
