Its teams design and manage innovative investment solutions for individual savers, businesses and institutional investors worldwide. JOB CONTENT ROLE DESCRIPTION AND PURPOSE

The Americas distribution business spans US Offshore, US Institutional, Latin American institutional and offshore markets, and a coordinated interface with our Brazilian franchise — five commercial lanes, multiple legal entities, a placement agent relationship, and a client base that books across borders. Following the AXA IM acquisition, it is being rebuilt as a single commercial organization from the 2 legacy units.

This role is the business spine behind that. It exists so that the Head of Americas Distribution and the commercial team lead and sell from one reliable set of facts, inside a disciplined operating rhythm, with the analytical and project capacity to turn decisions into execution. It is a senior, high-trust position with wide visibility and no direct reports; influence comes from credibility rather than authority.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Commercial data and management information
    1. Role is responsible of providing “source of truth” for the region. The position will be required to define and build, with our CRM and reporting teams, the standing management view of the business: assets and concentration by lane and relationship, gross and net flows by segment, strategy and channel, pipeline and conversion, coverage against tiered accounts, and the status of our distribution agreements.
    2. Ensure disciplined use of CRM and partner-management tools to capture opportunities, document senior interactions and follow up on agreed actions.
    3. Role will establish the data foundations this depends on — consistent segmentation across two legacy books, parent-and-affiliate account hierarchies for institutions we cover on both sides of a border, account tiering, and the source and channel attribution that will let us measure what our own team produces against what comes through third parties. Where the data is not trustworthy, the role will say so and fix it, rather than presenting it.
  2. Flows and AuM recognition
    1. Role will own, interfacing with Finance and Operations, how assets and flows are recognized and attributed across our business: which entity books what, how cross-border relationships are credited, how joint coverage between regional teams is recognized, and how third party-intermediated business is counted.
    2. These rules are not yet fully defined; this position will help define them, document them, and hold the organization to them, so that commercial performance is measured consistently, and the same number means the same thing in every forum.
  3. Operating rhythm and governance
    1. Role will support the design and running of the region's standing meeting architecture — a bi-weekly commercial forum, a monthly cross-border coverage session and leadership forum, alongside several business reviews (tbc).
    2. Ownership means the agenda, the materials, the pre-reads, monitoring the follow up of decisions and actions logged, and the follow-through between meetings. Also, prepare the recurring governance packs for regional and global leadership, including quarterly business reviews and the annual plan.
    3. Prepare and review performance dashboards, partner reviews and management reporting to support fact-based steering and timely decision making.
    4. Define, coordinate and monitor the execution of Operational Permanent Control (OPC) activities within the business perimeter, ensuring compliance with internal control standards and regulatory requirements.
    5. Identify, assess and track operational risks and control gaps, coordinating remediation actions with relevant stakeholders and ensuring timely closure.
    6. Prepare and report OPC indicators, control results and risk assessments to management, supporting governance, audit readiness and continuous improvement initiatives.
  4. Planning, budget and performance
    1. Position will significantly contribute to and run the annual and intra-annual planning cycle for the region with our Finance partners: commercial targets by lane, headcount and budget tracking, KPI definition, and the measurement of performance against plan.
    2. This position will always know what we are committed to and where we are.
  5. Transformation and project management
    1. Role will keep moving regional plans, owners, milestones, dependencies, and honest status. The region is running several structural workstreams concurrently — coverage model redesign, a review of our third-party distribution arrangements, market entry assessments, and the unification of legacy processes.
    2. Resolve execution barriers by acting as interface between Product, Investments, Marketing, CEBE, Solutions, Operations, IT, Legal, Compliance and Risk stakeholders.
  6. Business partnering
    1. Role will work daily with Legal, Compliance, Operations, Client Service, Marketing and Finance across the Americas and with our European parent functions, acting as the commercial team's interface into the operational platform and escalating what is blocking processes and revenue.
    2. Contribute actively to the Americas leadership community and wider Client Group agenda, including transformation and Target Operating Model initiatives.
    3. Act as a role model for BNPP AM values, conduct expectations, senior stakeholder engagement and responsible leadership in a complex international matrix. Governance, risk, compliance and conduct.
    4. Oversee negotiations, contractual arrangements and commercial commitments in coordination with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Finance and relevant business stakeholders.
    5. Identify, assess and escalate operational or reputational risks linked to partner relationships, distribution activities or client communications.
    6. Promote disciplined governance over partner committees, business reviews, action plans, approvals and documentation of key decisions.
    7. Embed a culture of good conduct, transparency and accountability across the Key Partners team and wider stakeholder network involved in partner delivery.

ACCOUNTABILITIES & KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

  1. Build the standing management view used in every commercial forum; the recognition and attribution rules are documented and agreed with Finance; the meeting architecture runs without the Head of Distribution having to drive it (first 6 months accomplishments).
  2. Define the annual planning cycle, the structural workstreams or are on a credible track, and the region's numbers are stable and fully understood (first year accomplishments)

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Substantial experience in asset or wealth management — business management, distribution strategy, sales operations, COO-office or a comparable consulting background — with real exposure to a commercial organization rather than a purely analytical one.

Strong understanding of how fund distribution works: share classes and vehicles, distribution agreements and their economics, net new assets versus market effect, and why attributing flow is harder than it looks.

Strong, practical data capability. Fluent in CRM data and reporting — Salesforce in particular — and in building management information that people trust and use. Role can interrogate a dataset, find what is wrong with it, and correct it.

Comfort with ambiguity and with building things that do not yet exist. Much of this role in the first year is construction rather than maintenance.

Absolute discretion. Role will be close to organizational, commercial and compensation-sensitive matters.

Judgement to operate with senior people. Role will be asking experienced salespeople for data they are busy providing, telling a lane head their pipeline does not reconcile, and preparing material for global leadership. That requires diplomacy, persistence and enough commercial understanding to be taken seriously.

Cross-border experience in the Americas is a clear advantage.

What this role is not

This is not an executive assistant position and does not cover calendar, travel or personal administration, which sit elsewhere. It is not a client-facing sales role, though this role needs to understand the clients well. And it is not a reporting function that receives numbers passively — this role owns, manages and rebuilds them

Conduct

  • Be a role model, supporting and fostering a culture of good conduct.
  • Demonstrate proactivity, transparency, and accountability for identifying and managing conduct risks.
  • Consider the implications of your actions on colleagues, partners, and clients before making decisions and escalate issues to your manager when unsure.
