A temporary intern to support the M&A team in Korea given the increasing workload

What would be your typical day at BNPP Paribas look like?
It would be mostly desk job under the supervision of an associate and a director
- Researching relevant info about companies and industries
- Creating marketing materials for clients
May require to attend some client meetings and manage communication
Primary Role Responsibilities
Provide support in origination and execution of M&A deals
- Prepare pitch books or other presentation materials for use in client meetings
- Perform research of targeted industries/ companies
- Analyse financial information/ data and perform valuation analysis
- Maintain various databases, credentials, model templates
- Participate in all stages of transaction executions
- Coordinate and maintain communications with clients and/or other professional parties
- Assist in document preparation, including translation of material into English or Korean
- Assist in due diligence and relevant analysis
Other contributions
Provide administrative support for M&A team
- Support in various relevant internal procedures (e.g. compliance checks, mandate committee approvals, filings, payment documentation)
- Support in managing logistics for client meetings or events, including booking, arranging translators, etc
- Printing/binding of meeting materials
What is required for you to succeed?
- Solid quantitative skills and accounting and finance knowledge
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills in English and Korean, proficiency in Mandarin is preferred
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task, manage change and complexity with confidence under time pressure
- Good team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Highly motivated and results-driven
- A genuine interest in Corporate Finance/ M&A and willingness to learn
Required education/certification/licenses
- Currently enrolled a college, preferably in accounting and finance related disciplines
- Prior internship within investment banking industry is an advantage
