Job Title: Associate – AFS – ERI – LATAM
Location: 787 Seventh Avenue, New York, NY 10019
Duties: Support on origination & execution including: Financial modeling including complex models, entirely building financial models and running multiple sensitivities with a leading role. Execution and origination project and structured deals in Latin America & the U.S. in Energy and Infrastructure. Project and financing documentation and closing process, interfacing with counsels. Project due diligence liaising with consultants (legal, technical, environmental, insurance, tax, etc). Structuring and advise on best structures and products to achieve the clients’ goals. Use the full resources of the Bank to bring to bear the best solutions and structures for the client. Structure and close bank, project and structured bonds, Term Loan A or B project finance, and related structured debt transactions in Energy and Infrastructure. Execute lead arranged (bond or bank) or advisory limited recourse or structured financings. Work with Coverage/LCT, Syndications, Global Markets (debt capital market & derivatives), M&A Advisory, etc. Marketing to potential clients (pitches, proposals and presentations). Execution credit approvals and due diligence process with leadership on workstreams. *Telecommuting permitted 20%: work may be performed within normal commuting distance from the BNP Paribas office in New York, NY. Travel - 20%, Domestic & International to LATAM & U.S.
SALARY: $175,000 - $200,000/ year
Work Schedule: 9am to 5pm, 40 hours a week. (Monday – Friday)
Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or Foreign Equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Engineering or related and two (2) years of experience in job offered or related role. Must have two (2) years of experience with the following: Project or structured finance experience at a major financial institution, corporation, or rating agency including credit, modeling, due diligence, and documentation; Experience with credit, financial analysis, quantitative, and modelling; Experience with full credit analysis and preparation of credit application for internal risk approvals; Experience with financial statements and accounting and financial terminology; and handling complex project financing or corporate accounts. Must have Spanish language proficiency.
