VP/DIR - Institutional Solutions Sales, Global Macro

Position Purpose

To contribute to the growth of solutions and structured business by client coverage and collaborating with key stakeholders to generate revenues.

Responsibilities

  • Help in expanding structured and solutions business in Singapore & SEA
  • Work closely with clients, other macro sales and other key stakeholders to identify opportunities for incremental revenue
  • Understand client needs and leverage BNP’s platform to find appropriate solutions
  • Promote the firm's brand, products and services to existing and new clients
  • Work with the broader team and assist in daily tasks where needed by Head of the desk. Ensure good teamwork, with a collaborative and inclusive mindset. 
  • Work closely with key GM stakeholders, FIC and other relevant internal risk functions: Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk Management.
  • Explore business opportunities that increase existing business volumes and profitability.
  • Be a strong advocate and help build the solutions culture in GM

Contributions

  • Revenue Generation: Contribute to achieving the structured and solutions budget with assigned clients set through sales efforts
  • Client Focus: Understand and address client needs to tailor solutions effectively
  • Risk Awareness: Monitor and report potential fraud or market abuse in alignment with BNP Paribas' operational control framework.

Effective Communication: Maintain clear communication with GM stakeholders, sales partners and other key stakeholders to support business goals.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

  • Client centricity, understand client needs and mindset to originate
  • Understanding of bespoke macro products (Bond Forward, Asset Swaps, Swaptions, TRS, Repacks etc)
  • Degree holder in Finance or related fields
  • 5-10 years of relevant working experience in relevant industries
