Its strategy of positioning itself as a bridge between corporate and institutional clients makes it possible to connect the financing needs of corporate clients with institutional clients seeking investment opportunities.

With a presence in three major regions - Europe, the Middle East, Africa (EMEA), the Americas and Asia Pacific (APAC) - CIB's business lines work as closely as possible to support our customers' needs and accompany them in their transition to a more sustainable economy.

What is the role?

MNC Relationship Manager within the local Corporate Coverage team in Romania.

Member of the Coverage Team, he/she is mainly in charge of a portfolio of Contributor clients, i.e. local subsidiaries whose parent company is already a client of BNP Paribas (Pilot Company) in its home market.

He/she works in close coordination with the Pilot RMs abroad and implements the strategy jointly defined.

He/she should grow his/her client base by on-boarding new Contributor relationships, proactively contacting members of the BNP Paribas Coverage Team abroad to forge introductions.

Key Responsibilities of role

Act as primary Contributor client entry point for any client need and maintain client relationship at adequate level (mainly C.E.O. or C.F.O.)

After having understood the global organization of the client’s Group, define the possibilities of developing the local business with the Contributor.

In coordination with the Pilot RM abroad and the local Business Lines, originate Corporate Coverage products (especially Cash Management, Trade and FX/IRG flows) according to the clients’ needs and thus increase revenues and cross sell for his/her clients.

Prepare and share Client Action Plan on most important clients or at request of Pilot RMs

Ensure the updating and accuracy of the CRM tool (call reports, status of opportunities and deal pipeline management among others)

Monitor risk and contribute to the credit application in cooperation with Credit Analysts.

Maintain regular contact with the Pilot RM to be updated on the evolution of the mother company.

Ensure Compliance with Bank’s policies/procedures (especially KYC and AML/Sanctions) and regulatory requirements, in particular with regards to the KYC responsibilities and duties, as per relevant policies and procedures and the summary of responsibilities list attached hereto.

Ensure that the business carried out with his/her clients is appropriate, understandable and suitable.

Act in a product-neutral manner in the best interest of the clients and of the BNP Paribas Group globally.

Participate, when required or needed, to workshops aiming at developing the global efficiency of the BNP Paribas Group.

What qualities do we look for?

Minimum 7 years of experience in banking corporate coverage, pilots and/or MNCs, or in relationship management position in the financial sector in an international environment.

Solid banking product knowledge and credit facilities negotiation experience.

Strong network with large multinational/international corporate clients.

Entrepreneurial and performance driven, capable of identifying and developing local business opportunities.

Excellent communication skills, capacity to listen and understand local client needs.

Negotiation skills and good personal and inter-personal skills and influence power upon decision makers.

Customer-oriented, pro-active and focused on quality of service.

Strong team player, participative, flexible with good resilience and positive approach.

Well-organized; able to work with time constraints and to prioritize work and multi-task.

Innovative and creative, open to digital innovation in client interaction and business solutions.

Enthusiastic and ambitious; continuous learner, staying abreast of new developments.

Integrity and common sense, being exemplary in Conduct matters.

Self-confidence, diplomacy, ambition, highly responsible, reliable, loyal.

Very good MS Office knowledge.

Fluent in Romanian and English, French is a plus.
