We are looking for a Senior Manager who is willing to join Large Corporates Coverage team in Corporate and Corporate Investment Banking (CCIB) Group at TEB. The position is critical to ensure continuity of coverage for a portfolio of large and strategically important corporate groups, requiring senior-level relationship management and close coordination across TEB and BNP Paribas teams.
The role is responsible for the end-to-end management of client relationships, including annual credit reviews, preparation and coordination of credit proposals, monitoring of limits and exposures, profitability and RWA management, and execution of financing and transactional banking opportunities. It also acts as a key interface between clients, TEB product and risk teams, and BNP Paribas international coverage, product and credit teams, particularly for cross-border transactions and group-wide opportunities.
In addition to maintaining day-to-day client coverage, the position is expected to identify and originate new business opportunities across lending, cash management, trade finance, global markets, capital markets and advisory products, while ensuring compliance with internal risk, ESG and regulatory requirements.
Given the size, complexity and strategic importance of the portfolio, leaving the position vacant would create a significant risk to client continuity, timely credit and transaction execution, revenue generation and coordination with BNP Paribas. Replacement of the position is therefore required to maintain appropriate coverage capacity and service levels.
The person will;
- Be a key member of the Large Corporates Coverage team, and contribute to client management activities
- Act as a key support to the Senior Relationship Managers whilst leading activities under supervision
- Specialize in Investment Banking transactions whilst ensuring seamless co-ordination with the product stakeholders
- Always work with a target to maximise cross-sell under continuous and constant co-operation with product teams and branch network
- Be responsible for origination, implementation and execution of transactions jointly with the relevant product stakeholders. Be accountable for all risk and control matters related to the client portfolio
- Support credit analysis teams conduct proper and thorough due diligence of files
- Act as a commercial challenger to relevant product and credit stakeholders being mindful of ROE targets on transaction and client basis
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders as necessary
- Make him/herself up to date on all processes, policies, procedures and systems
- Contribute to the business strategy of corporate coverage at CIB Group and prepare and strategy presentations as required
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Undergraduate from preferably Engineering, Economy, Business Administration, or in a similar area (MBA or Double Major is an additional asset)
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Banking, or related sectors
- Strong knowledge of fundamental banking products
- Experience in credit analysis, structuring and documentation
- Fair understanding of investment banking products but more importantly, eager to learn and understand investment banking products, with an aspiration to build a career in Corporate and Corporate Investment Banking (CCIB) area
- Passion and curiosity about the CCIB business and clients
- Ability to deal with stakeholders outside of Turkey as well as domestic
- Strong analytical/interpersonal skills, stellar communication skills both internally and externally
- Advanced level of spoken and written English
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
