About the job

  • The Team Leader ensures operational excellence, coordination, quality control and process efficiency, while working in close alignment with the direction, workflows and priorities set by the Product Marketing Managers worldwide
  • This is an execution- and coordination-focused leadership role, centered on enabling smooth daily operations, supporting global teams, piloting automation efforts and ensuring efficient delivery — rather than defining strategic priorities or product narratives
  • The Product Marketing Team Leader has a dual reporting line to the local MC2 Team Manager, based in Lisbon, and to the Head of Global Markets Marketing, based in Paris

Your Main Activities Are

  • Operational Coordination & Workflow Oversight
    • Act as the local operational relay for Product Marketing Managers in Paris, London, Milan and New York
    • Maintain a clear understanding of the structure, responsibilities and scopes of each Product Marketing platform, in line with the allocation of Lisbon team members
    • Ensure smooth operational execution of all tasks instructed by the relevant Product Marketing Managers — without arbitrating or assigning scopes independently
    • Monitor project progress locally and escalate issues, risks or bottlenecks to the appropriate Product Marketing Manager
    • Support global teams by resolving local operational challenges and facilitating communication thanks to proximity with Lisbon-based stakeholders
  • Interface with Design, Digital & Local Support Teams
    • Establish strong daily working relationships with the Lisbon-based Design and Digital teams, ensuring smooth delivery of creative and digital components required by Product Marketing initiatives
    • Act as a facilitator between Lisbon teams and global platforms to ensure fluid communication, efficient workflows and timely outcomes
    • Collaborate with local Sales, Structuring and support teams in Lisbon to ensure seamless integration of information and operational needs
    • Contribute to reinforcing the visibility and credibility of Product Marketing within the Lisbon Global Markets environment
  • Industrialisation, Automation & MCE Studio Ownership
    • Operate as the business coordinator for the industrialisation and automation of recurring Product Marketing materials (e.g., monthly updates, recurring publications, templates)
    • Serve as the Lisbon lead for the MCE Studio platform by:
      • Gathering, consolidating and harmonising enhancement requests from all Product Marketers (Lisbon + Paris)
      • Structuring and communicating these needs to the Mumbai development team
      • Coordinating UAT, testing, follow-up and rollouts
    • Monitor, track and escalate all MCE Studio bugs reported by Product Marketers:
      • Ensure that fixes are delivered quickly, permanently and in line with business needs
      • Maintain detailed logs and share structured reporting with Product Marketing Managers
    • Build and maintain roadmaps, release calendars and operational plans for the evolution of the platform
    • Provide regular reporting
    • Be force of proposition on automation, process optimisation and transversal operational improvement
  • Team Leadership, Talent Development & Local HR Interface
    • Lead and support the Lisbon Product Marketing team:
      • Ensure clarity and proper relay of instructions received from Product Marketing Managers
      • Provide operational guidance on workflows, deliverable quality and best practices.
      • Maintain strong operational risk controls and adherence to GM Product Marketing standards.
    • Serve as the primary HR interface in Lisbon for recruitment, hiring and team development:
      • Challenge and guide HR to source qualified candidates aligned with Product Marketing needs
      • Conduct screening, interviews and evaluation in coordination with global Product Marketing Managers
      • Support integration and onboarding of new joiners, ensuring alignment with workflows and tool usage
    • Act as a local ambassador for the GM Product Marketing Team:
      • Representing the metier in school forums, campus recruitment, and industry events
      • Positioning Product Marketing as a Front-Office business enabler within the Lisbon talent ecosystem
      • Promoting awareness of the team’s mission, scope and added value
    • Encourage continuous skills development, collaboration and operational excellence within the team
  • Reporting & Governance
    • Produce KPIs and dashboards covering:
      • Workload, productivity and SLA performance
      • MCE Studio development & adoption
      • Automation indicators
      • Quality and process metrics
    • Provide structured, periodic reporting to Product Marketing Managers, including:
      • Operational progress
      • Identified issues and risks
      • Local insights
      • Improvement proposals
    • Support governance routines by ensuring clear documentation, tracking and communication of operational topics

Profile and Skills to Success

  • MSc in Finance, Business Management or equivalent from a Top Tier International Business School
  • Between 3 and 5 years of experience in project management, coordination, operations or PMO roles, ideally within a Global Markets or investment banking environment
  • Experience in team management
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese
  • Experience with digital tools, automation or workflow platforms
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Excellent coordination, communication and stakeholder management skills in a multi-regional setup
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to track multiple workflows

About the Team

  • The Global Markets Product Marketing team in Lisbon supports BNP Paribas Global Markets by acting as a central production and coordination hub for the Product Marketing desks based in Paris, London, Milan and New York
  • The Lisbon team’s mission is to execute, maintain and support the Product Marketing activities defined by these core platforms. Each Lisbon team member is assigned to a specific platform and contributes to that platform’s priorities and deliverables
