FIC Relationship Manager, Vice President

BNP Paribas’ Financial Institutions Coverage division (FIC) is a product-neutral group dedicated to the coverage of Brazil’s financial institutions (banks, asset managers, hedge funds, sponsors, insurance companies and public entities).            

Main responsibilities:

  • Driving the client strategy & managing senior relationships on a global basis
  • Identifying new industry trends and related client needs 
  • Working closely with our product specialists in delivering tailored solutions to our clients across the full product suite (Global Markets, DCM & Structured Funding Solutions, Advisory, Transactional Banking and Custody)
  • Understanding the client background, roadmap and objectives 
  • Establishing and nurturing regular contacts at all levels of the client organization in order to develop long-term business relationships
  • The successful candidate will work on further expanding the commercial activity with a dedicated client portfolio, including deal origination and execution as well as ongoing client relationship management.
  • Main responsibilities
  • Maintain and further develop the bank’s franchise with a dedicated client portfolio of main domestic and international Brazilian Banks and Public Entities.   
  • Cultivate senior level, long term relationships; build a global view on client activity and needs, establish strategic dialogue, manage commercial strategy and leverage broader internal teams (product coverage and broader FIC network).  
  • Ensure the achievement of annual budget with a dedicated client portfolio
  • Ensure the achievement of business objectives; originate and lead the execution of transactions. Propose capital and risk allocation (globally and between products) and trade-offs on pricing and between products, in the framework of the existing CIB processes. 
  • Oversee global risks for clients within the portfolio. 
  • Ensure timely completion of KYC related requirements for dedicated client portfolio.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Law or a related field; MBA, MSc or relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA, FRM) is a strong plus.
  • Senior‑level client‑coverage experience within corporate or investment‑banking, preferably handling large domestic and international Brazilian banks and public sector clients. Proven record of originating, structuring and executing complex transactions (DCM, structured funding, advisory, transactional banking, custody, etc.).
  • Deep, working knowledge of the full product suite: Global Markets, Debt‑Capital‑Markets & Structured Funding Solutions, Advisory, Transactional Banking, and Custody. Ability to translate product capabilities into bespoke client solutions.
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese
  • CPA 20 Certification.
