We are looking for an Enterprise IT Architect. 

Mission context 

As part of a mid-sized insurance entity within a larger Group, the Enterprise Architect plays a critical role in ensuring alignment with Group-level architecture frameworks and standards, while adapting them effectively to meet local business needs.

He/she works closely with local IT and business teams to guide solution design, support system evolution, and to ensure architectural compliance across projects and platforms. This is a strategic yet hands-on role suited to someone who can bridge governance with practical delivery in a dynamic environment.

Function description

Define the architecture vision:

1. Contribute to define and maintain IS strategic plan
2. Define and maintain architecture strategy and roadmap and its alignment with business priorities and needs
3. Identify potential business value that could be supported by IT endeavours
4. Monitor the emerging technologies and conduct technology watch studies

Design reference architectures:

1. Build and maintain architecture framework (guidelines, standards, and principles) in compliance with Group architecture framework
2. Promote the architecture framework driven by architecture value proposition
3. Provide and maintain architecture references
4. Contribute to the evolution of Group architecture framework in collaboration with the other architects and stakeholders

Govern and control architecture:

1. Challenge project initiatives and evaluate compliance with architecture strategy
2. Contribute to the organization of architecture committees
3. Contribute to project assessment in a collaborative way, validation, and selection
4. Contribute to the architecture validation according to business requirements / needs, IT standards and architecture framework

Design solution:

1. Contribute to impact analysis and studies about business needs and architecture enhancements / evolutions
2. Challenge project teams and experts about architecture layers of solutions
3. Develop recommendations to cope with requirements (availability, performance, etc.)

Miscellaneous:

1. Facilitate transfer of knowledge, experience, and best practices within architecture team
2. Promote, communicate and share architecture guidelines, standards, and principles within expert communities
3. Contribute to strategic studies and IS level topics
4. Share IS knowledge and maintain information in the associated tools

Profil 

1. Bachelor’s or Master degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
2. 6–8+ years of IT experience, with at least 2–3 years in architecture or solution design
3. Prior experience working within a federated IT environment or group structure preferred.
4. Background in the insurance or financial services industry is highly desirable.
5. Certification : TOGAF or Zachman Framework
6. Language requirements : French and English (Dutch optional) 
7. Business experience
   1. Knowledge of the insurance metier
