We are looking for an Enterprise IT Architect.
Mission context
As part of a mid-sized insurance entity within a larger Group, the Enterprise Architect plays a critical role in ensuring alignment with Group-level architecture frameworks and standards, while adapting them effectively to meet local business needs.
He/she works closely with local IT and business teams to guide solution design, support system evolution, and to ensure architectural compliance across projects and platforms. This is a strategic yet hands-on role suited to someone who can bridge governance with practical delivery in a dynamic environment.
Function description
Define the architecture vision:
- Contribute to define and maintain IS strategic plan
- Define and maintain architecture strategy and roadmap and its alignment with business priorities and needs
- Identify potential business value that could be supported by IT endeavours
- Monitor the emerging technologies and conduct technology watch studies
Design reference architectures:
- Build and maintain architecture framework (guidelines, standards, and principles) in compliance with Group architecture framework
- Promote the architecture framework driven by architecture value proposition
- Provide and maintain architecture references
- Contribute to the evolution of Group architecture framework in collaboration with the other architects and stakeholders
Govern and control architecture:
- Challenge project initiatives and evaluate compliance with architecture strategy
- Contribute to the organization of architecture committees
- Contribute to project assessment in a collaborative way, validation, and selection
- Contribute to the architecture validation according to business requirements / needs, IT standards and architecture framework
Design solution:
- Contribute to impact analysis and studies about business needs and architecture enhancements / evolutions
- Challenge project teams and experts about architecture layers of solutions
- Develop recommendations to cope with requirements (availability, performance, etc.)
Miscellaneous:
- Facilitate transfer of knowledge, experience, and best practices within architecture team
- Promote, communicate and share architecture guidelines, standards, and principles within expert communities
- Contribute to strategic studies and IS level topics
- Share IS knowledge and maintain information in the associated tools
Profil
- Bachelor’s or Master degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 6–8+ years of IT experience, with at least 2–3 years in architecture or solution design
- Prior experience working within a federated IT environment or group structure preferred.
- Background in the insurance or financial services industry is highly desirable.
- Certification : TOGAF or Zachman Framework
- Language requirements : French and English (Dutch optional)
